The Livermore Rodeo rides into town next weekend, June 14th and 15th, 2008. Yeeee Ha! Sorry. I got a little carried away. But there are a host of rodeo related events that you might want to check out. They are all held at the Robertson Park Rodeo Arena in Livermore, unless noted otherwise.
On June 11th at 5:30 pm, the Rodeo Cattle Penning and Mixer. Adults 21 and older only .
On June 12th at 5:00 pm. the Rodeo Family Night sponsored by Lucky, Terry’s Tree Service, and State Farm – Cathy Pasut-Graham. The event features Local Team Roping
and Wild Cow Milking. Admission is free and Hot Dogs and Soda are only a dollar.
On June 13th, the Pro Rodeo Slack starts at 8 am. I had to look it up. “Slack” appears to be another word for “preliminary heats”. Top Qualifiers will compete again over the weekend.
On June 14th, The Annual Livermore Rodeo Parade in Downtown Livermore at 10 am.
And on June 14th and 15th, the Main Event, the 2008 Livermore Rodeo itself will be held from 10 am to 6 pm on both days. Of Special Note: On Saturday, those who attend the Rodeo are being asked to wear Pink, to show support for Rodeo’s campaign to help fight Breast Cancer. As they say: “Give Cancer the Boot”. Pink ribbon pins will be on sale at the Rodeo, and 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Valley Care Health Library and Ryan Comer Cancer Resource Center. Will you be “Tough Enough to Wear Pink?”
